Lane restrictions on Thickson Road and Rossland Road East in Whitby

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department advises residents of lane restrictions on Thickson Road (Regional Road 26) and Rossland Road East (Regional Road 28) in the Town of Whitby.

When: May 1 to July 19. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Where:

Thickson Road: Northbound and southbound lane restrictions, from Rossland Road East to Dryden Boulevard.

Rossland Road East: Eastbound and westbound lane restrictions, from Thickson Road to Overlord Street.

Why: To install new water services, sanitary and storm sewers, as well as construct new turning lanes and concrete medians to support new development.

Note: The Region realizes that the work is disruptive, and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and the work crews.
