Lane restrictions on Victoria Street/Bloor Street at Thornton Road South

Whitby, Ontario –

The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise the public of lane restrictions on Victoria Street/Bloor Street (Regional Road 22), around the intersection of Thornton Road South, in Oshawa/Whitby.

WHEN:

Work is underway, and is expected to be complete by early December. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

WHERE:

Victoria Street/Bloor Street (Regional Road 22), around the intersection of Thornton Road South, in the Town of Whitby/City of Oshawa.

WHY:

The road is being widened to include one additional eastbound lane.

NOTE:

Some night work may also occur to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible; the Region realizes that the work may be disruptive. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and construction workers.
