Lane restrictions on Westney Road North and Taunton Road West in Ajax

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of lane restrictions on Westney Road North (Regional Road 31) and Taunton Road West (Regional Road 4) in the Town of Ajax.

When: November 29 to June 2023. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Where: Westney Road North, from north of Rossland Road West to north of Taunton Road West, and on Taunton Road West, from Westney Road North to just east of Westney Road North, in Ajax.

Why: To safely widen and reconstruct Westney Road North.

Note: A road closure north of the intersection of Westney Road North and Taunton Road West will be required during the project to accommodate construction. Further information, including closure dates and detour routes, will be provided in advance of the closures.

Businesses will remain open for the duration of construction. The Region recognizes there may be potential impacts during the work.
