Lane shifting and restrictions on Taunton Road for Seaton development

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department advises residents that a portion of Taunton Road (Regional Road 4) in Pickering will shift to newly constructed lanes. Lane restrictions will be in effect on the same portion of Taunton Road.

When: Lane shifting will occur on October 8, and lane restrictions will be ongoing until the end of 2019. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Where: Taunton Road, between Sideline 22 and Sideline 26 (Whites Road), in Seaton (City of Pickering).

Why: Roadwork, sanitary sewer installation and storm sewer installation to support new development.

Note: Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.
