Learn about last wills and testaments at an upcoming virtual seminar
Whitby, Ontario – A last will and testament is a legal document used to communicate your final wishes to family or loved ones after you have passed away. At an upcoming webinar, seniors in Durham Region can learn about the importance of a last will and testament from Detective Constable Martin Franssen of Durham Regional Police Service.
When: Monday, October 18 from 1 to 3 p.m.

Who: Detective Constable Martin Franssen is a senior investigator with the Durham Regional Police Service’s (DRPS) Financial Crimes Unit. His work includes elder law and the protection of vulnerable persons. He also deals with complex corporate fraud investigations, including estate litigation and mortgage fraud.
Detective Constable Franssen has been recognized nationally for his dedication to the training and education of police officers and community members. He has conducted hundreds of seminars to increase awareness and prevent victimization in fraud, power of attorney, and last will and testament.
Note: This event is part of the Seniors’ Virtual Learning Series, presented by Durham Region in partnership with various community partners.
