Mandatory water restrictions for Beaverton residents and businesses lifted
Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents and businesses in Beaverton, in the Township of Brock, that mandatory water restrictions have now been lifted.
All Durham residents and businesses are reminded to continue practising water conservation methods by limiting all non-essential indoor and outdoor water use. Examples of non-essential water use includes cleaning driveways or decks, washing cars and lawn watering. Residents using the municipal water system are reminded to practise odd-even lawn watering until September. Under the Regional Water System By-law 89-2003, odd-even lawn watering is mandatory during the summer months.
