Night construction on Westney and Rossland roads in Ajax

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise residents of overnight construction work on Westney Road (Regional Road 31), from Coughlen Street to north of Rossland Road; and on Rossland Road (Regional Road 28), around the intersection of Westney Road, in Ajax.

When: Overnight construction (after 9 p.m. until 6 a.m.) will begin the evening of October 13 and is expected to be complete by October 14. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Where: During this work, there will be lane restrictions on Westney Road, from Coughlen Street to north of Rossland Road; and on Rossland Road around the intersection of Westney Road, in the Town of Ajax.

Why: To complete road paving in a safe and efficient manner.

Note: The Region realizes that the work may be disruptive, and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and construction workers.
