Night work at the Kingston Road/Westney Road intersection in Ajax

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise residents of nighttime paving as part of the reconstruction of Kingston Road (Durham Highway 2) and Westney Road (Regional Road 31) in Ajax.

When: Aug. 16 at 7 p.m. until the following morning. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Where: The intersection of Kingston Road and Westney Road in the Town of Ajax. 

Why: Work is occurring at night to permit paving in a safe and efficient manner while minimizing the disruption of traffic.

Note: The Region realizes that the work may be disruptive, and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and construction workers.
