Northbound lane on Park Road North in Oshawa closed for a watermain break

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents that the northbound lane on Park Road North (Regional Road 54) in the City of Oshawa is temporarily closed to traffic due to a watermain break.

When: Today, Wednesday, September 1 until the repair is complete.

Where: Park Road North (Regional Road 54), northbound lane only, from Bond Street West to Adelaide Avenue West in Oshawa.

Why: The northbound lane is temporarily closed to safely repair a watermain break.

Note: Residents in the area may be experiencing a temporary water service interruption or decrease in water pressure for the duration of the repair. When the water service returns to normal, it is important for customers to turn on a cold water tap only and let it run for approximately five to 10 minutes to clean out any sediment that may have accumulated in your water service. This will avoid any sediment entering the hot water system.

The Region realizes that the work is disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and the work crews.
