Notice of Service Disruption - 101 Consumers Drive, Whitby, closure of public access
The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of the closure of public access to the Regional building at 101 Consumers Drive in the Town of Whitby due to renovation work starting at 10 a.m. on July 26, 2024, until further notice.
Health Department service disruptions
The following in-person Health Department services will be disrupted:
- In-person submissions for applications for Part 8 septic systems, payment for Part 8 septic systems, and applications for special events or new businesses will not be available at 101 Consumers Drive.
- In-person services will continue to be available from Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Health Department’s north office located at 181 Perry Street, Port Perry (2nd floor).
- Applications, permits, and forms can continue to be dropped Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the public front counter of the Region’s Headquarters located at 605 Rossland Road East in Whitby or can be completed online using the Public Health Applications for Businesses Form.
- In-person water sample drop-offs and pick-ups for private wells will not be available at 101 Consumers Drive.
- Public water sample drop-offs will continue to be available at the public front counter of the Region’s Headquarters located at 605 Rossland Road East in Whitby.
- Monday to Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.

- Public water sample drop-offs will continue to be available at the public front counter of the Region’s Headquarters located at 605 Rossland Road East in Whitby.
