Ontario Works cheque pickup is September 29 in Durham Region

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising Ontario Works (OW) recipients that monthly cheque pick up is Thursday, September 29, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., as OW offices in Durham Region will be closed on Friday, September 30 in honour of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

When: OW recipients may pick up their cheque on Thursday, September 29, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. OW recipients with direct bank deposit and reloadable payment card will receive their social assistance payment on Thursday, September 29 as well.

Where: 140 Commercial Avenue, Ajax; 200 C1A John Street West, Oshawa; 2 Campbell Drive, Uxbridge; 605 Rossland Road East, Whitby.

Why: OW office locations in Durham Region will be closed on Friday, September 30 in honour of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
