Oshawa Waste Management Facility Paint Exchange Program now open
Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of the reopening of the Paint Exchange Program at the Oshawa Waste Management Facility (WMF) in the City of Oshawa.
When: The program reopens on October 29.
Where: The Oshawa WMF at 1640 Ritson Road North in Oshawa.
Why: The Paint Exchange Program at the Oshawa WMF was temporarily closed on March 18, as it is a high-volume area that didn’t allow for physical distancing. Plans are now in place to have the program operate again while adhering to public health guidelines. To reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19, only one resident will be allowed in the paint exchange building at a time. Residents are encouraged to only take what they require, up to a maximum of five cans per visit.
Note: For more information about the Regional WMFs, including locations and accepted materials, visit durham.ca/WMF.
