Portion of Winchester Road East in Whitby to be closed November 2 and 3

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise residents that Winchester Road East (Regional Road 3) will be closed between Thickson Road and Anderson Street next weekend.

When: November 2 at 8 p.m. until November 3 at 8 p.m. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Where: Winchester Road (Regional Road 3), from west of Thickson Road to east of Anderson Street in Brooklin (Town of Whitby), will be closed. Thickson Road will remain open for north-south traffic with one lane in each direction.

Why: Paving the west half of Thickson Road through the Winchester Road East intersection.

Note: The Region realizes that the work may be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and construction workers.
