Project update on Conlin Road closure in Oshawa
Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, in partnership with the City of Oshawa, is updating residents of an ongoing road closure on Conlin Road in Oshawa.
When and where: Conlin Road, from east of Garrard Road to west of Stevenson Road North, and the intersection of Thornton Road North and Conlin Road West, will remain closed until the end of September. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
Why: To safely install a new feedermain, watermain, sanitary and storm sewer, and to facilitate road reconstruction.
Note: A road closure of Conlin Road from Thickson Road to Garrard Road will be required only after Conlin Road is reopened between Garrard Road and Stevenson Road. Additional details, including timing about future closures and lane restrictions, will be provided in advance. For more details, visit durham.ca/ConlinRoad.
Businesses in the area will remain open throughout the construction. Durham Region offers a helpful overview of what businesses can expect during construction, including tips on how to minimize the inconvenience on their business, at durham.ca/OpenForBusiness.
The Region realizes that the work may be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.
