Reduced speed limit on Saintfield Road (Regional Road 6) to facilitate road maintenance

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents and motorists of the reduced speed limit from the existing 80 km/h to 60 km/h on Saintfield Road (Regional Road 6) from Provincial Highway 12 to Simcoe Street (Regional Road 2) in the Township of Scugog.

When: Reduced speed limit is currently in effect until May 31.

Where: Saintfield Road (Regional Road 6) from Provincial Highway 12 to Simcoe Street (Regional Road 2) in the Township of Scugog.

Why: To safely facilitate road maintenance and repair.

Note: The Region realizes that the work may be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.
