Region of Durham to host film industry career fairs

Whitby, Ontario – The Durham Region Film Commission (Film Durham) will be hosting three film industry career fairs; offering participants a chance meet industry professionals, visit interactive displays and learn about the many well-paying, high-quality job opportunities in the film and television industry.

For post-secondary students:

Tuesday, October 29, 2019

10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Durham College/Ontario Tech University, Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre

2000 Simcoe Street North, Oshawa

Adult Continuing Education:

Thursday, November 21, 2019

10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Archbishop Anthony Meagher, Catholic Continuing Education Centre

850 King Street West, Unit 26, Oshawa

A third event, open to high school students, will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2019.

Why: These career fairs will feature jobs in the film industry including: lighting, make-up, performers, prop design, set dressing, sound, special effects, electrical, wardrobe, painters, graphic designers, editing, location scouts, truck drivers, accounting, directors, cinematographers, production managers and post-production.
