Region to host Community Engagement Session for 1635 Dundas
Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham will be hosting a Community Engagement Session, on Tuesday, October 3, for residents to hear a presentation, ask questions and share ideas for 1635 Dundas. Community feedback is essential in helping shape the services provided at this location; its positive path forward.
Please note: Registration will be required to attend the session in person, due to limited capacity. Sign up information is provided below. The session will be live streamed for anyone unable to attend in person.
When: Tuesday, October 3 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Where: Council Chambers, The Regional Municipality of Durham Headquarters,
605 Rossland Road East, Whitby, Ontario
Why: Although 1635 Dundas will initially open to 45 residents, wraparound supports and long-term on-site services have not been determined. All community members—including residents, businesses, community and health providers, and those with lived experience—are invited to hear a presentation, ask questions, share ideas and concerns. Your input and ideas are important to help shape it.
Note: This event will have limited in-person capacity. Please register today at Eventbrite. A live stream will be available on durham.ca. For those who are unable to attend in person, but still have questions, please email your questions in advance to engagement@durham.ca.
