Regional Chair extends appreciation to nurses and all healthcare staff in recognition of National Nurses Week

“May 11 to 17 is National Nurses Week. Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses and Registered Practical Nurses provide integral service to our community each and every day. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we have relied on our nurses more than ever before. Our community extends our sincere gratitude to all our nurses working in public health and our community including long-term care homes. Your commitment and dedication to your profession and our community has been truly outstanding.

Nurses are part of an important team of healthcare professionals and critical support staff. We want you to know we recognize your hard work and the hard work of your teams. I encourage everyone in this profession to check in on one another. Make sure you are also caring for yourselves during this time. Thank you for your outstanding commitment to helping our community.”
