Regional facilities to reopen to the public
Whitby, Ontario – As provincial COVID-19 related guidelines begin to ease, the Region of Durham will reopen facilities to the public.
When: Tuesday, April 19, 2022
Where: Facilities across the Region of Durham
Who: Continuing to keep staff and the community safe is the Region’s priority. Staff need to work in an environment that safeguards their health and safety, and community members accessing services must also feel comfortable that they are entering a safe setting.
Notes: Safety precautions and enhanced cleaning procedures remain in place for all facilities and include, but are not limited to, floor markers for physical distancing and plexi-glass barriers. Other important notes:
- Visitors will be limited to main facility counters.
- At Regional Headquarters, visitors will be limited to the lower and main lobbies.
- There will be no public access to the elevators.
- There will be no public access to the stairs.
- Members of public will be required to wait at the front counter for their contact person.
- Members of the public must complete passive COVID-19 screening prior to entering Regional facilities.
- April Regional Council and various committee meetings are not open to the public.
