Register your event for Culture Days in Durham Region
Whitby, Ontario – Durham Tourism invites area municipalities, artists, event producers, and local organizations to be a part of the celebration of Durham Region’s arts and culture scene during the 2019 Culture Days weekend, taking place September 27 to 29.
This year, Culture Days is celebrating 10 years of sharing our communities’ cultural spirit and passion; examining the arts and culture sector through the lens of “Creativity, the Arts and Well-being.”
“Durham Region is home to an amazing and expressive creative community,” said Brandon Pickard, Manager of Tourism. “As organizers, artists and tourism businesses, you have a meaningful impression on your communities; we encourage you to be a part of the Culture Days celebration!”
All interested participants should register their Culture Days events online as soon as possible, on both the Durham Tourism and Culture Days websites. By registering an event on DurhamTourism.ca and CultureDays.ca, organizers will be part of both local and national marketing campaigns promoting events in the media.
To be eligible, events must be participatory or interactive (either hands-on or behind-the-scenes), take place over the course of the 2019 Culture Days weekend, be registered on the Culture Days website, and be free for the public to attend. The rest is up to you!
Culture Days offers the public the chance to discover the world of artists, creators, historians, architects, curators and designers at work in their local communities. Durham Region is proud to be a part of this national celebration, which sees hundreds of thousands of artists and cultural organizations–in hundreds of cities and towns–come together to celebrate the arts and cultural sector.
