Residents invited to provide input for Durham Region’s new strategic plan
Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is currently renewing its five-year strategic plan, which will help guide the Region’s decision-making and allocation of resources over the next five years. Local community organizations, businesses and residents are invited to share their ideas and provide input about the future of Durham Region at one of the upcoming town hall discussions taking place in August.
Where: Town hall discussions will take place on the following dates:
Town of Whitby
August 26 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Whitby Public Library, Main Branch, 405 Dundas Street West, Whitby
City of Oshawa
August 28 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Oshawa Public Library, McLaughlin Branch, 65 Bagot Street, Oshawa
Why: The Durham Region Strategic Plan is a guiding document that will help identify priorities for Regional Council, while creating a framework for the organization’s service planning and delivery. The strategic plan allows the Region to define a set of common goals and prioritize those things that matter most to Durham residents.
