Residents invited to provide input for Durham Region’s new strategic plan
Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is currently renewing its five-year strategic plan and will be hosting a town hall discussion in the City of Pickering.
Local community organizations, businesses and residents are invited to share their ideas and provide input about the future of Durham Region. The strategic plan is an important framework document that will help guide the Region’s decision-making and allocation of resources over the next five years.
When: Tuesday, September 17, from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Where: George Ashe Library and Community Centre (Paris and Franklin rooms), 470 Kingston Road, Pickering.
Why: The Durham Region Strategic Plan is a guiding document that will help identify priorities for Regional Council, while creating a framework for the organization’s service planning and delivery. The strategic plan allows the Region to define a set of common goals and prioritize those things that matter most to Durham residents.
