Road closure of Thornton Road South in the City of Oshawa

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham advises residents of the closure of Thornton Road South (Regional Road 52) in the City of Oshawa.

When: June 22 until September 2020. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Where: Thornton Road South from Champlain Avenue (Regional Road 25A) to Stellar Drive (Regional Road 25) in Oshawa.

 Why: Road reconstruction.   

Note: Detour routes will be posted in advance of the closure. Local businesses will remain open and accessible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.
