Road closure on Baseline Road in Clarington

Whitby, Ont. – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise residents of a road closure on Baseline Road, from Courtice Road (Regional Road 34) to Cigas Road in Clarington.

When: Aug. 27 to Sept. 3.

Where: Baseline Road, from Courtice Road to Cigas Road in Courtice.

Why: To safely remove an earth tunneling machine from an underground shaft.

Note: The schedule and detour routes will be posted on-site in advance of the road closure for all local traffic. You can also plan your route online at durham.ca/TrafficWatch.

The Region realizes that the work may be disruptive, and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and workers.
