Road closure on Champlain Avenue in Whitby

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department advises residents of a weekend road closure on Champlain Avenue (Regional Road 25), in the Town of Whitby.

When: Saturday, September 7 at 6 p.m. to Monday, September 9 at 6 a.m. Exact times are approximate. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Where: Champlain Avenue, from 100 metres east of Thickson Road (Regional Road 26) to 700 metres east of Thickson Road, in Whitby.

Why: To create a safe working environment for an upcoming road alignment.

Note: Detour signs will be posted. The Region realizes that the work is disruptive, and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and the work crews.
