Road closure on Doric Street in Ajax

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of a road closure on Doric Street in the Town of Ajax.

Where: Doric Street, between Cranswick Lane and Heron Street, in Ajax.  

When: June 24 until late August. Unfavorable weather conditions may impact the work schedule.

Why: The road closure is part of the rehabilitation project on the trunk sanitary sewer from Harwood Avenue to Lord Elgin Park. Learn more at durham.ca/LordElgin.

Note: Businesses in the area will remain open throughout the construction. Access to business entrances will be maintained whenever possible. The Region realizes that the work may be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.
