Road closure on Goodwood Road in Uxbridge

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of a temporarily road closure on Goodwood Road (Regional Road 21) at the York-Durham Heritage Railway crossing.

When: June 26, starting at 7 a.m. for approximately 10 hours. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Where: Goodwood Road, between Old Mill Lane and Concession Road 3, in the Township of Uxbridge.

Why: To safely remove and replace asphalt pavement at the railway crossing.

Note: Traffic will be detoured via Regional Highway 47 and Brock Road (Regional Road 1). Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews. The Region realizes that the construction work will be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible.
