Road closure on Regional Road 3 in the Municipality of Clarington

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of a road closure on Regional Road 3 in the Municipality of Clarington.

When: The closure is from May 1 until early June. The entire construction project is anticipated to be completed by November. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Where: Regional Road 3, from Bowmanville Avenue to 300 metres west, in the Municipality of Clarington.

Why: The closure is required for the construction of a roundabout at the Bowmanville Avenue and Regional Road 3/Concession Road 8 intersection in Clarington. The existing temporary traffic signals will be removed on May 1 and the intersection will operate as an all-way stop.

Note: Detour signs will be in place. The Region realizes that the work may be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.
