Road closure on Taunton Road in Pickering

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department advises residents of a weekend road closure on Taunton Road (Regional Road 4), in the City of Pickering.

When: Friday, Aug. 9 at 7 p.m. to Monday, Aug. 12 at 5 a.m. Exact times are approximate. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Where: Taunton Road, from Burkholder Drive to Whites Road North, in Pickering.

Why: Watermain and storm sewer crossing installation to support new development.

Note: Detour signs will be posted. The Region realizes that the work is disruptive, and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and the work crews.
