Road closures in Pickering for sanitary sewer upgrades

Whitby, Ontario –

The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise residents that work to install new sanitary sewers in south Pickering will require local road closures.

WHEN:

- Vistula Drive, from Elvira Drive to 300 metres north of Elvira Drive, will be closed from October 10 to December 22.

- Vicki Drive, from West Shore Boulevard to Greycoat Lane, will be closed from October 2 to 20

- Greycoat Lane, from Sanok Drive to Vicki Drive, will be closed from October 18 to 25.

- Sanok Drive, from Greycoat Lane to West Shore Boulevard, will be closed from October 23 to November 3.

Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

WHY:

To complete sanitary sewer upgrades.

NOTE:

Access to local residences and businesses will be maintained. The Region realizes that the work may be disruptive, and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and construction workers.
