Road closures on Simcoe Street and Robert Street in Oshawa
Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise residents that construction work will close Simcoe Street (Regional Road 2), from Beatrice Street to Rossland Road; and Robert Street, from Mary Street to Simcoe Street, in Oshawa.
When: October 13. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
Where: Simcoe Street, from Beatrice Street to Rossland Road; and Robert Street, from Mary Street to Simcoe Street, in Oshawa; will be closed for one day.
The existing closure (from Robert Street to Rossland Road) will remain in place until approximately October 20.
Why: To complete paving of the Robert Street/Simcoe Street intersection in a safe and efficient manner.
Note: Access to local businesses and residences will be maintained. The Region realizes that the work may be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and construction workers.
