Sidewalk and lane restrictions on Kingston Road in Ajax

Whitby, Ontario – As part of the Kingston Road Bus Rapid Transit project, Durham Region will be constructing a retaining wall on the south side of Kingston Road in Ajax. As part of this work, there will be eastbound lane restrictions and the south sidewalk will be closed.

When: Work begins this week and is expected to be complete by February 14. Unfavorable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Where: The south side of Kingston Road (Regional Highway 2), just east of Chapman Drive, in the Town of Ajax.

Why: To safely construct a retaining wall.
