Staged road closures at intersection of Taunton Road and Enfield/Trulls Road in Clarington

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise residents of upcoming road reconstruction work at the intersection of Taunton Road (Regional Road 4) and Enfield Road (Regional Road 24)/Trulls Road in Clarington.

When:

Stage one: Beginning July 25, Trulls Road will be closed from Taunton Road to south of Tyler Road for approximately four weeks.

Stage two: Following stage one, Enfield Road will be closed north of Taunton Road for approximately four weeks.

July 25 until the end of the year: Lane restrictions on Taunton Road around the Enfield/Trulls intersection.

Work is estimated to be complete by the end of the year. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Why: Work includes road reconstruction and widening; the installation of new storm sewers; curb and gutter; and new traffic signals and roadway illumination.

Note: The Region realizes that the work may be disruptive, and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and construction workers.
