Street Rapid Transit Study Public Information Centre showcases rapid transit corridor opportunities
Whitby, Ontario – The Region of Durham is hosting two Public Information Centres (PICs) about the Simcoe Street Rapid Transit Study. A rapid transit service strategy will be presented, along with the Initial Business Case (IBC) that will support future funding applications. These PICs will allow the Region to gather feedback from the public on the preferred rapid transit concept plan. The same information will be presented at both events for members of the public to drop in and learn more.
Residents and interested parties are invited to take part in the following sessions:
- Monday, October 30, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Jubilee Pavilion Banquet and Conference Centre, 55 Lakeview Park Avenue, Oshawa
- Wednesday, November 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Oshawa Golf and Curling Club, 160 Alexandra Street, Oshawa
Note: If residents are unable to attend either of the PICs, the PIC material will be available to review from October 30, 2023 to November 15, 2023 on the study website SimcoeStreetRapidTransit.ca. Feedback can be submitted using the online forms.
Visit SimcoeStreetRapidTransit.ca to sign up for the mailing list and stay up to date on key milestones and opportunities for involvement. More information, including dates and locations of the community events are also available on the project web page.
