Thornton Road to be closed south of Gibb Street on Tuesday for emergency rail crossing repair

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise residents that Thornton Road (Regional Road 52) will be closed at the rail crossing south of Gibb Street on September 5.

When: September 5 beginning at 9 a.m. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Where: Thornton Road (Regional Road 52) will be closed at the rail crossing south of Gibb Street.

Why: Canadian Pacific Railway is performing emergency track repair work.

Note: Access to all local businesses will be maintained. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and construction workers.
