Upcoming lane restrictions on Simcoe Street South in Oshawa
Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents and businesses of upcoming lane restrictions on Simcoe Street South in the City of Oshawa.
When: September 11 to fall 2024. Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule.
Where: North and southbound lane restrictions will be in effect on Simcoe Street South, from Olive Avenue to Metcalfe Street, in the City of Oshawa. One lane of traffic will remain open.
Why: This work is part of the Simcoe Street South Road Reconstruction/Rehabilitation project. To address aging and deteriorating infrastructure, the Region of Durham will be replacing watermains and sanitary sewers. This project also includes road rehabilitation and storm sewer replacement.
