Upcoming lane shifts and speed reductions on Ritson Road North in Oshawa

This PSA has been updated to reflect the latest information.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of upcoming lane shifts and speed reductions on Ritson Road North in the City of Oshawa.

When: August 26, 2024 to January 7, 2025. Unfavourable weather conditions and the Region’s contractor schedule may influence the work schedule.

Where: North and southbound lane shifts and speed reductions on Ritson Road North (Regional Road 16), from Britannia Avenue East to 775 metres south of Winchester Road East (Regional Road 3), in the City of Oshawa.

Why: Daily lane shifts and speed reductions will be required for the duration of the project to safely install water, storm and sanitary mains to support development.

The Region realizes that the construction work will be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of work crews.
