Upcoming road closure on Salem Road in Ajax

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of a road closure on southbound Salem Road (Regional Road 41) in the Town of Ajax.

When: The closure is from April 13 to 17. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Where: Salem Road, southbound lanes only from Highway 401 to Achilles Road, in Ajax. Access to eastbound and westbound Highway 401 will be maintained during this closure.

Why: To allow for the construction of new electrical and telecommunications infrastructure for a pending Metrolinx project. For more information, visit Metrolinx.com.
