Upcoming road closures on Lake Ridge Road

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, in co-operation with the City of Pickering, Town of Whitby, and townships of Scugog and Uxbridge, is rehabilitating Lake Ridge Road (Regional Road 23). As part of the construction, a portion of Lake Ridge Road will be closed temporarily.

When and Where: May 1 at approximately 7 p.m. until June 16 at approximately 6 p.m. on Lake Ridge Road (Regional Road 23) from south of Chalk Lake Road to Townline Road in the City of Pickering, Town of Whitby, and townships of Scugog and Uxbridge.

Road reconstruction work is ongoing on Lake Ridge Road until September 2023.

Why: For road reconstruction work.

Note: Detour signs will be posted. The Region realizes that the construction work will be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews. Access to residential driveways will be maintained whenever possible.
