Upcoming road construction work on Lake Ridge Road

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, in co-operation with the City of Pickering, Town of Whitby, and townships of Scugog and Uxbridge, is rehabilitating Lake Ridge Road (Regional Road 23). Residents should expect minor traffic delays.

When: Starting the week of August 22, to be completed by September 2023.

Where: Lake Ridge Road (Regional Road 23) from 100 metres north of Myrtle Road (Regional Road 5) to 1.6 kilometres north of Chalk Lake Road in the City of Pickering, Town of Whitby, and townships of Scugog and Uxbridge.

Why: For road rehabilitation work.

Note: The Region realizes that the construction work will be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews. Access to residential driveways will be maintained whenever possible.
