UPDATE: Lane restrictions on Kingston Road in Pickering due to watermain break

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department advises residents of further lane restrictions on Kingston Road (Regional Highway 2) in Pickering due to roadway repairs resulting from a previously broken watermain.

When: There will be lane restrictions on Kingston Road ongoing throughout the week. Lane restrictions are expected to be lifted when work is complete, by Thursday, June 27.

Where: Westbound and eastbound lane restrictions. Kingston Road will have a minimum of one westbound and one eastbound lane open to traffic, from Delta Boulevard to east of Whites Road, in the City of Pickering.

Why: To repair damaged roadway that resulted from a broken watermain.

Note: The Region realizes that the work is disruptive, and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and the work crews.
