Update: Victoria Street closure rescheduled for this weekend

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise residents that Victoria Street (Regional Road 22) in Whitby will be closed this weekend between Halls Road and Seaboard Gate. Detours will be posted. This closure will also affect the waterfront trail at this location.

When: Friday August 4 at 10 p.m. to Monday August 7 at noon. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Where: Victoria Street, between Halls Road and Seaboard Gate. Access to Lynde Shores Conservation Area will be maintained.

Why: To safely install a culvert across Victoria Street.

Note: The Region realizes that the work may be disruptive, and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and construction workers.
