Virtual Public Information Centre for Simcoe Street Transit Priority Pilot Study
Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is holding a Virtual Public Information Centre (PIC) for input into a study to evaluate transit priority pilot options on Simcoe Street in the City of Oshawa.
When: Monday, November 16 until Monday, November 30 (Link available until November 30)
Why: Simcoe Street is the second busiest transit corridor in Durham Region. The study will identify opportunities to pilot dedicated transit lanes along with additional transit priority measures. The purpose of the study is to pilot and evaluate transit supportive measures that will reduce transit travel times, and improve system reliability and competitiveness.
