Volunteers needed for the Durham Region Newcomer Advisory Table
Whitby, Ontario – The Durham Local Immigration Partnership (DLIP) is seeking applications from newcomer residents for the Newcomer Advisory Table.
Members of the Newcomer Advisory Table will inform the strategic direction of the DLIP; and support the work of the DLIP and its various action groups to strengthen economic prosperity, service coordination and sense of belonging among newcomers. Members will serve a one-year term with an option to renew.
When: The deadline to apply is December 21 at 11:59 p.m.

- The Durham Local Immigration Partnership (DLIP) was established in 2009. Today, it boasts a membership of more than 100 community partners representing a broad range of sectors. The DLIP works to deepen the conversation around immigration and inclusion and to create welcoming communities in Durham Region.
- The DLIP supports the development of local partnerships and community-based planning around the needs of residents and newcomers.
- The DLIP acts as an incubator for ideas, measuring trends, identifying needs and mobilizing the appropriate community resources to meet those needs.
