Weekend closure of Bowmanville Avenue

Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region’s Works Department is advising residents that a portion of Bowmanville Avenue (Regional Road 57) will be closed for construction this weekend.

When and where: Bowmanville Avenue, between Concession Road 3 and Old Scugog Road, will be closed from Friday, June 14 at 6 p.m. until Monday, June 17 at 5 a.m. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Why: The closure will expedite the construction schedule for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of Bowmanville Avenue, while maintaining a safe work zone.

Note: The Region realizes that the work may be disruptive, and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and construction workers.
