Weekend road closure of Winchester Road east of Thickson Road in Brooklin

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise residents that Winchester Road East will be closed east of Thickson Road in Whitby for construction next weekend. Thickson Road will remain open with one north/south lane in each direction.

When: Friday, September 28 at 8 p.m. until Saturday, September 29 at approximately 8 p.m. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Where: Winchester Road East, east of Thickson Road in Brooklin (Town of Whitby).

Why: To safely pave the eastern half of Thickson Road through the Winchester Road East intersection.

Note: The Region realizes that the work may be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and construction workers.
