What to know ahead of your COVID-19 vaccination appointment
Whitby, Ontario - Durham Region Health Department has announced that as of Monday, March 8 at 8 a.m., residents 80 years and older (born in 1941 or earlier), can begin booking appointments to receive their COVID-19 vaccine. Here’s what you need to know:
What: Information you will need to book an appointment online includes:
- Telephone number (home or cell phone)
- Home address, including postal code
- Email address (can be family support person)
- Health card number
Once appointment is confirmed, you will receive an email outlining what to bring on the day of your appointment. Please arrive no more than 10 minutes before your appointment.
Where: Appointments begin at Garnet B. Rickard Recreation Complex in Clarington and the Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex in Pickering, followed by Durham College and Ontario Tech University in Oshawa in the coming weeks.
When: Clinics will begin operating as of March 9.
Note: We are noting reports of a COVID-19 vaccine scam in other regions. We will never call residents asking for personal information or payment to book a COVID-19 vaccine appointment.
