Youth member vacancy: Durham Environment & Climate Advisory Committee (DECAC)

Whitby, Ontario – The Durham Environment & Climate Advisory Committee (DECAC) is seeking a youth member to join the committee and help shape the future of environmental and climate action in Durham Region. If you are a high school student passionate about the environment and climate change, this is your chance to make a difference!

Who Can Apply? To be eligible for the DECAC youth member position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Applicants must reside in Durham Region.
2. Applicants must be currently enrolled in Grade 10, 11, or 12 and must express a strong interest in environmental matters.
3. Applicants should be able to attend as many DECAC meetings as possible. They should be available to be contacted during the day to schedule meetings.
4. Applicants must include:
• A letter of reference from their school.
• A letter of parental/guardian support with their expression of interest.

How to Apply:

2. Complete and submit the Regional Advisory Committee Application Form online.
3. Include your letter of reference and letter of support with your application.

Deadline: Applications must be submitted by February 14.
